    Flip it over and use the flat side. A little packing of some sort in the arch and around the ends and you're good to go.

    I'm tempted to buy it; I'd bet I could hone one on it - if it really is a razor grade stone. it's the wrong shape for a conventional barber's hone.

    Yea ill agree with that just because it's old and dished and oil blackened doesn't mean it's for straight razors or worth razor hone money.. Just my 2 cents.
