Ok, I finally got the razor back, and it appeared to be in the same condition, so I refunded the guy. Today I re listed on ebay, and heard a funny noise while stropping. I put the edge to my 30x loupe, and there are like 30 dings all down the edge where the calipers were clamped down on the edge. Ugh I'm so pissed off about this whole situation it's not even funny. I guess it's time to hit the hones, again...

What a jerk. You could try contacting ebay with pictures of the damage. Technically buyers are obligated to return the item in as-received condition, but as we all know ebay doesn't seem to care about technicalities and will generally side with the buyer anyway.

So ebay is saying to contact him first to try and settle without their involvement, but if it is truly damaged as I say it is, then it should end in my favor if they do get involved. Lessons learned for Ebay, Do not let anyone bid that does not have 100% positive feedback, picture the razor on a ruler and let them determine what size it is, fully inspect a returned razor with magnification. There are probably more lessons than that learned from this experience, im just so pissed off right now i cant name them all. Let this be a helpful post to all those selling razors on ebay!

A bevel reset should remove any small nicks pretty easily. It sucks when you're the seller dealing with it, but I doubt ebay will side with you if he insists he didn't damage it.

Go first for the cost of a hone and ship, like $25, that'd be my suggestion.

At this point i just want him to hopefully not leave me a negative feedback. After that im going to let him know how i really feel. Can you fight a negative feedback, if the circumstances are completely absurd as in my situation?

Yes, I've had to do it once for a fountain pen I sold. I got the negative removed along with comment

If you are good, you can even get a bad comment entered on his record for returning the razor damaged.
The easy road is rarely rewarding.
