Thanked: 237Ok he ended up leaving a negative feedback full of lies. I called ebay, and after they read through all of his messages, it was very clear to them he was just mad because I didn't sell him the other razor he didn't win. I guess in the end I win, except I had to pay shipping twice and now have to re hone a razor. Oh well, multiple lessons learned. Here is his last message, kinda was the last nail in his coffin...

Wow! I don't need any drama like that...I added that user to my blocked list as a prophylactic action.

Thanked: 458Tape measures are steel. It's very likely that unless he has a contaminated strop or something, he clanked dings in the edge by putting it against a tape. I would assume that tapes are probably some sort of spring temper, but even if they weren't, a razor wouldn't stand up even to mild unhardened steel being touched to the edge.
Like said earlier, I would make sure that he is seen as a crappy buyer by ebay. I have had comments added to crappy buyers' records. I don't know if it ever amounts to anything, but it's better than sitting and just taking it.

Thanked: 458FWIW, I always think in the back of my mind that there is an extra little margin above and beyond what ebay extracts, and that is the cost of dealing with crappy buyers and sellers margin. I've had mostly good experience on ebay (well, good and mediocre, but either is OK, I guess), but about 5% of the dollars I spend end up being a waste of time, either in offering concessions to people who are unhappy for no reason or because their wife found out they bought something.
It's just part of the deal using ebay. I haven't used etsy yet, but I'm going to start selling vintage things on there (non razors, I'm not much of a razor seller) just because the 5% idiot tax that you get dealing online added to the 13% ebay total is starting to get kind of steep.

Wow! Would you look at that, I went to block him and realized he was already on my blocked bidder list! Same guy I had issues with over a blade that was 1/64" shorter than the 8/8 I described, and about 15 emails jam-packed full of rudeness. I suggest everyone use strong caution or avoidance with this guy...

Thanked: 458You would think that a nutball that upset about perfectly sized razors might actually ask the seller for the measurement of the thickest and thinnest chord of the razor blade above and below the spine.
