Awwww, cmon guys, stop it. You'll turn my head. ( I was going to insert a blush smiley here, but it appears SRP is too manly to have one!)

This is an excellent marketing strategy to sell an item for the highest price, if the item is a quality Item and marketed for a long enough period of time to allow as many bidders as possible.

I have used this strategy to sell real estate many times, each time the property has sold for record price, to the most qualified buyer in the shortest amount of time.

It is a simple marketing principal, Exposure creates demand, Demand creates value. The more people that see it, the more people will bid, the more bids, the higher the sales price.

And that's why it's bad for us to all sit around and talk about and look at razors, because it has probably resulted in every one of us buying many times more than we would otherwise!

(I know it has me...I'd be a two razor guy without the internet. I didn't know there were shaving sites when I started SR shaving, and tended to be cheap and buy razors that were about $20 with some pitting in nonessential areas. Oh the money I've spent since reading show and tell from a bunch of razor exhibitionists!!).

Default Bad Crack on the Tang?

Check this one. Looks like a bad crack on the show side of the tang.

I don't see the crack, but it looks like its been to the buffers. What really fascinates me though is the pitting near the spine. I really wish I could have seen what that rust looked like before. My gut is telling me to stay away from that one. One side looks to have been worked pretty hard while the other not so much. Make me think the edge would fold like foil. Hopefully my suspicions are wrong and someone got a decent usable razor.

I don't see any cracks, but what I DO see is a Halsted razor being advertised as a Wade & Butcher.

May you find no cracks and the spine is well intact.
Good luck and Gods speed to you, may the razor gods be good to you.
