Thanked: 480In this particular case, I had no clue what a fair asking price would be, since there have been no similar examples by which to judge. So I opted to let the market sort it out. If the classifieds here had some sort of auction function, I would have been just as happy to put it in. What I see in the classifieds here, are one of 2 things. High end quality razors, Most often at full retail pricing. People know what they are, and know what they are paying for.
That, and good quality user grade razors. I post some of those myself from time to time. If I had put the F.R blade in the classifieds, I'm sure it would have fetched 50 bucks or so. But since I had already uploaded everything else on to the bay, I let it go too, and ended up getting less than half that price for it. If you put a 20 dollar honing value on it, that means whoever got it paid about 7 bucks for the razor. you win some, you lose some!
I have more razors to put up soon, and I will be putting some on the bay, and some right here. As long as I have at least some sort of idea of what to ask for it. Nothing burns me more than seeing an item I have just sold cheap show up on the bay a week later with a starting price of 40% more than I sold it for!

Boys, Now That Is A Razor!
Courtesy of Magpie,
A magnificent piece if you ask me.
The definition of Courtesy:
[kur-tuh-see or for 5, kurt-see]
noun, plural courtesies:
Excellence of manners or social conduct; polite behavior:
This razor came exactly as Steve (Magpie) described it, magnificent in all it's Fili glory.
Boys, I mean to tell you, this is a serious Man Blade. Reminds me of Hank Jr. and the old outlaw Counrty Music.
My first Filarmonica, and I couldn't be more proud:Last edited by ChopperDave; 02-22-2015 at 03:38 PM.

They are stellar shavers there's no doubt about it. One of the aspects I enjoy about these razors so much is they have a good heft to them and their hollow grind literally seems to stick to your face always providing an uber close and comfortable shave.
You just decided the razor for my next shave - congrats on that beauty, and if it came from Magpie, you know it's a first class blade.

Absolutely a magnificent razor. The first shave was the best shave I've had yet with an SR. The edge is wicked sharp, yet very comfortable. The heft of the blade somehow makes it easier to 'shave the lather' and apply no pressure. We had a windchill of 3 degrees F this morning, which usually means the slightest mistake in technique will cause irritation and discomfort after the shave. Not so this am. I enjoyed a terribly close shave with no discomfort at all. This Fili is my new BFF.
