Thanked: 480.99 cent Filly 14
I have gotten tired of seeing people (including myself) putting up razors for prices out of this world.
So, I'm going to try and put up at least one nice razor each week for a .99 cent start. Let the market show what they are REALLY worth, not force the market up by starving it for options.
This weeks offer is for a really nice Doble Temple 14 Full width, with even honewear (slight)
Some other goodies too, but this is the Best of the bunch.

What do you guys think? Am I being foolish and altruistic? Or do you all wish more vendors would do this?

I think your .99 cent minimum bid is 50 cents too high,,,,

Can I Buy It Now for $1.50 plus shipping?
In all seriousness, it depends on what's hot that week. One week a razor like that could go for an inexpensive price, next week at a huge price. Couple of people get their minds set on a particular razor and for some it's get's personal, they haven't got to the place yet where, "there's always going to be another one....".
Personally, I know what a razor like that is worth, and for all the trouble to list it, ship it, and then pay the eBay fee's, I would think it only fair to make market value plus a profit.Last edited by Phrank; 02-09-2015 at 03:08 AM.

You should do OK, Steve. Hope it turns out good for you. With the inundation of the things from Japan, prices should be going down on some of the less fancy, used ones. Might be attractive to a lot of bidders.

Thanked: 284My opinion is that it's a safe play. Generally when there are comparables on the market it seems like things kinda sell in the ballpark of what they've been going for.
And maybe even higher. I watched a guy put up a stone for a high price and each week dropped the price lower and lower till he was half of the original with no success. Then he started it at 0.99 and it went for more than his original buy it now...go figureI love living in the past...

Thanked: 4206Call me Ishmael.
That being said, I think it a fine gesture. The blade will ultimately garner the right price I'm sure.
