I have about a dozen razors I need to get up for sale, and was thinking about doing the same thing...

    Watching yours now, of course...

Always wanted a Filly but can't pay stupid prices like the ones we see. I will find one for a decent price one of these days. Good luck with the sell! Pretty cool you are at least giving it a shot to sell at a decent price.

I like it when we get to see what something is really worth in the open market. Agree with so many of you depends on the week, and rookie bidders blowing up a price. 0 buys I run till the last minute. But I like seeing you do a good deed for the little people who cant afford crazy stupid high starting prices.
I put it on my watch list now.
Your only as good as your last hone job.

There are a couple of 17s on the bay right now, but none of them nice enough for you (I know you don't settle for less than optimal conditions)

There was a 14 over at Nippon as well, but way overpriced (at least as far as this cheap bastard was concerned)

I don't know what the mm size was on the 17s, but mine measured in at 7/8 If you check the widths of many of the supposed "mint" razors out there, you will find them coming in rather shy of the measurements they were born with.
Exactly. Mine is a Friodur, 23mm or a bit over 7/8. It has some moderate hone wear. Scales are worn and grungy
Still, a nice blade and shipped right with a decent buy. The scales might actually clean up and polish. Or, I will find some clothes for it around here! Certain to be swell shaver!
Point is, I paid little money for it as it has it's flaws. This 99 cent Filly of your's has it's flaws as well. It will go as a good-shaving Filly with it's flaws. Not as a 450.00 NOS one. It all makes sense and it is all about what someone wants to buy. They all shave good, or most. Shave or shine? THAT is where the money is.Condition is everything. As in all things. JMO

I do this with all the razors that I post on eBay. My last one was a Puma 6/8 with a starting bid of $9.99 that ended at $331.99.

I agree with the OP that prices are ridiculous sometimes. I believe in letting them find their own price instead of having unrealistic expectations and sitting on inventory forever. Almost always I am happy with the winning bid. This one in particular was a home run for me. I bought it at a flea market for $20.
