Looks like you got the best deal, albeit the wait. Here it is from Lehman's site for $229.

Thanked: 2Yeah, it's a minor situational ethics thing. Even with their lousy service I don't want to take advantage of them ... but at the same time, I wouldn't really save them money by returning the thing, both because of the added customer service costs and because I imagine they couldn't put an open-box razor straight back into the warehouse.
And it really IS gorgeous.

You could call them and let them decide if they want it back, let you keep it, or pay some extra for the different scales.

Thanked: 2Decided I'd feel better about things if I called them ... and they just told me I could keep the razor received, with their compliments.
Now I'm off for a guilt-free shave!

Good call on making the call and that is the answer I expected them to give you.

Thanked: 2Just did a quick shave. The edge it came with is perfectly acceptable, and I like the weight of the scales. Longest backorder ever, but I'm very pleased.

Nice score. I love TIs but I hate their pins. I have several of them and I am in the process of fixing them to my liking.
