Thanked: 18Looks like it's going to have to be taken down to a moustache razor but the scales alone hold most of the value.

Thanked: 237I've looked through completed auctions and just scales with broken blades don't have that much value. This one has a small chip from what I can see, I don't think that makes it a mustache razor. After cleaning and honing my guess is it will be a 9/16. I'm not going to win it so it's all speculation. I really want a reaper, but I don't want to pay what I can spend on a custom razor for one.

Thanked: 480I don't know what Rose Colored Glasses you guys look at Ebay through, but that poor thing has at LEAST 3 chips, one of them at least an 1/8 deep, and very possibly a crack. use your zoom functions and look closer. If your on a cell phone, STOP looking at Ebay!

Thanked: 237I am using my cell phone, but I have never had intentions of buying this razor. I do use my computer when I know I want to win. Speculation is speculation. There is no ruler in any of the pics to validate any of our opinions. One of my luckiest buys on ebay was a wade and butcher. 4 blurry and dark pictures, no description. It looked like a normal 5/8 razor. It was a 9/8 FBU. Maybe the winner will be a member and can verify all of our opinions.

If you actually print out the pic, you can see it's ugly but IMO it is salvageable.
Just too much $ for me.
Sold for $362.57...Last edited by Chevhead; 04-19-2015 at 04:51 PM.

I know you fellas are nutz for the Ducks, but that thing is toast. Everytime I see one, it looks about like that. Crumbling cell, sometimes broken, blade gassed into oblivion. Still, they go for big bucks? Are the inlays really worth that? Certainly they can be salvaged and put upon newly made scales, but where do you get a blade? All of them have been gassed. Even if you did find a nice blade, would it not cease to be an original Reaper? Duckmania!
"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.

I guess I am a glass 1/2 full kind of guy.
YES it would NEED a LOT of work but for the right price I would have bought it in a heartbeat.
I think the prices they go for with the shape they are in are a bit much....but if someone NEEDS it, they will pay whatever!Last edited by Chevhead; 04-19-2015 at 08:02 PM. Reason: spelling
