Thanked: 169Well, the guy who won that didn't pay. I asked the seller to lmk if that happened before relisting and I would make a fair offer and pay straight away should he choose to accept. For the sake of disclosure on pricing since that ending price was atypical and I'm never selling it anyway, I offered/paid $680 which I think is a nice price for him and not completely appalling for me. The scales appear original, blade closes in them very well with the correct amount peeking out. Blade is actually in much better overall nick than I figured it would be. Most impressive aspect of this one is the balance. I have several choppers and this one is far and away the best in that department. Mark is currently dealing with another blade for me and I will send this to him when that is done just to get cleaned up similar to my rodgers above and have a closer look at the scales which don't seem to have enough damage to justify changing... At least on the outside, I know the yellow horn that was originally on my other rodgers looked fine but upon unpinning it was a mess inside. Hopefully not, but if it is, probably going yellow on this as well. I will pop up some photos of it later on.

Thanked: 169Not really, he has some really great large blades as well from what I've seen on here. Idk if he bid on this one, actually. Right now there is a lot of interesting stuff on ebay, but I'm being good...

Thanked: 169Balance is amazing on it. I picked up a 9/8+ el&co that was quite ragged on the bay for 210 a couple of weeks ago and that one despite having its mass distributed more evenly, at least visually, is not on the same planet in that department. It does have a thumb notch though which is awesome.

I will get old Cheetah over here! He loves the big ones!

I rest my case.

I bow to you - frankly, you'll never regret it, these gems come along once in awhile and you have your chance and you took it - congrats!!
I also have lots of large blades, love them, and collected 10, yes 10 so far of just the 8/8+ Celebrated Hollow Ground Razor, FBU's among many other various large razors...and don't regret one purchase, except for the 11th Celebrated FBU I have, which looks like a superb 9/8, except for a tiny hairline crack in the heel of the razor, so that one doesn't count....total drag
As you said, you plan on never selling it, there aren't many like that around, and you've got one, and the fact is, Cheetah didn't get it, and neither did I...so you get the prize.
