TBH I don't even like it. The shape/size of the blade. Looks out of proportion to my eye. Someone likes it though
I wonder if the scales are original ? They look old enough, but it almost looks as if the edge would come out the bottom when closed. It looks too small for the blade, and I'm surprised there is not the usual chipping at the wedge end where a large blade like that hits the horn.
Took a second look, is the razor all the way closed and hitting the wedge ? Sold as is .......
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Good eye. The pivot pin washer looks off. You are right it looks like those scales are to small. I just found the price a little crazy.

Butchers have been calming down a bit lately, no? I mean at least with this, or something like the greaves you bought or an elliot the really big ones pop up much more infrequently. It seems to be a market ripe with options if you want a large wade and butcher. This was closer to 10/8 if not an outright 10/8 if you asked the seller for a picture next to a ruler. One of those listings where you just need to time out and realize there's always going to be another awesome blade up
