Thanked: 74I really appreciate the comments made on my purchase. They have been enlightening. The ironic thing about the seller I purchased this razor from is that the seller only posts one picture of everything he sells. The seller has a 99.9% feedback rating for over 7000 customers. I am crossing my fingers that I am not in that <=0.1%.

Here's one listed by a vendor with almost 1000 feedbacks and 100% posative feedback as "COMPLETE BLADE-- BUT PITTED GREAT LOOKING RAZOR FOR THE COLLECTORS." At this time the item has 7 bids and is up to $26. This is the pargest I can enlarge the pic and keep any semblance of the item.

Come one, come all! There be tons of blades on eBay that would fit into this thread. They don't have to be a total looser to post them here. Show us some of what you find and either ask some questions or state what you have noticed. I have seen some vintage blades that look like they were right out of the showroom. Is there anything to be concerned about with these blades? Let's hear your thoughts!

Thanked: 1371This recent thread provides a good example: http://straightrazorpalace.com/razor...xtra-67-a.html
It would be easy enough to miss the crack that Brad pointed out.

Has anyone come across some examples of things to avoid on eBay? If so, please post it/them. I had one that I wanted to share but I can't find it now and the auction for the item is closed. I may find some time later in the week where I can copy some examples over. Remember, this is open to everyone so post what you find or pics you may have questions about. Even if you want to post "Can this be restored?" or "Is this a good buy?" This thread started out showing clunkers but should be a reference for the good and near good also.

Thanked: 2591
pics are shot in horrible light conditions so its hard to see, this one will have some pitting very close to the edge. Given that the razor is hollow ground this can turn out to be un-savable.Stefan

Here's one where the vendor has 1366 feedbacks with 100% positive. Starting price is $37.50. I would guess that with this count of replies the seller has sold a lot of stuff and should know how to take pics by now. What can you tell me about the razor?
I'm sure you all know that there are tons of items that can fit this thread. I am not trying to pick on any specific seller and really don't have the time to post more than I have. Thanks to all of ya that are adding to the thread and those replying.Last edited by Joed; 04-05-2010 at 09:51 PM.
