Certainly the way the buyer has explained his problem seems to make no sense.

Thanked: 46+1 and that is all the sense of this thread....I have to say that English is not my native language also...I send razor to USA so I suppose that buyer speak English better than me.
@Gugi
I agree that there is little (much less than seen on the photos) rust near the egede (not pitting, not deep, just surface) but it is clearely seen on the photos #6 and #8.
Photos are the part of the description so if the buyer was suspected about blemish he can ask question. At least I did that every time when I read description and when I look at the photos and maybe seen something that is not in description or if I am suspicious about something.
But as I told here is not word abot that blemish...and I just try to understand what buyer complaint about.
In any case I want to thank to all that contribute in this discussion.
I will see what I can do when buyer contact me after he did test shave.

Well, his message doesn't make sense, though his english grammar is pretty good, so the only way that what he wrote could have a meaning is if you change the terminology he's using and replace 'hone wear' with 'pitting'.
You could take the stance that pictures are part of the description, but your pictures are really bad and definitely hide the problems rather than show them, and your text explicitly states, 'excellent condition' and 'no pitting', so you'll have a very hard time convincing the buyer and ebay that you're right. I've seen hundreds of razors and I am 99.9% certain that that is pitting near the edge even if you call it 'blemish'. It is also quite possible that the steel is rotten through and even if there is a good edge at the moment, half a bevel further the steel is no good and the razor will need quite a bit of work to fix.
I can tell you that if I were the buyer I'll take good quality photographs with correct lighting and you will loose a dispute of 'item not as described'. And keep in mind that ebay is pretty lenient on the amount of 'blemishes' on used razors, as long as they are described correctly and disclosed honestly upfront.
I think your best option is to keep communicating with the buyer and try to understand what exactly does he mean and then resolve it as fairly as possible to their satisfaction. At the end of the day it is a very good learning experience for you, and especially since you have a 'Vendor' tag I'd try to make the most of it. You'll benefit a lot more in the long run.
Good luck, and if you don't mind please update us when the final resolution happens. It's interesting to know how these things end up.

That's a nice looking blade and even with that small mark in the photo it still looks nice for the price. I think you just have a picky buyer IMHO
I don't sell a lot on eBay but if someone came back to me i would properly offer a partial refund (maybe postage or something) or a full refund for the return of the blade. Just so i didn't get bad feedback and if keeps the customer happy.
Translation can be a problem with eBay though, for an example:
I purchased a hone from a seller with poor English that advertised the hone as lapped and ready for razor use. After receiving it i found it was no where near lapped. I contacted the seller and let him know and I gave positive feed back to the seller and said... "Stone not 100% flat & required lapping - Still, Good Seller – Recommend" and the seller left this commend "grinding with new diamont is always reveals new layer, you are funny guy..." and he banned me lol
My best guess is he misinterpreted what i was saying somehow. Or he is just really mad that i flattened his stone.... People on eBay can be funny sometimes.... But that's eBay
I'm sorta annoyed because i was going to buy something else off the seller but i couldn't and i have no idea how that comment justified me being banned expecially since it was left as positive feedback, not neutral or negative lol and i cant send him a message to find out and get unblocked.Last edited by Brighty83; 09-24-2011 at 12:31 PM.

Thanked: 46In any case my intentios are fair and I will try to resolve this problem with buyer because I am not so care about "feedback" but in first place I want that buyers are sattisfied with products (razor, brush......).
I suppose that buyer think of that "blemish" (I can not say that is pitting because it is not, it's surface rust).
In any case I will report back how we resolve the problem.

Eehh, when i first got into the whole SRP thing i had Bevy of razors that I thought were good to go....Well, on a couple of them had unsatisfied folks for different reasons...They saw discrepacies that i didn't see, or even notice... I had shaved with them for years and had no issues... So i just refunded them immediately, apologized fixed the problem and sold them again.. I would just lose a litte money onshipping up front and rather then have a disatisfied costumer..
