Ahhhhhh, the joys of Ebay! Pure entertainment! I wish I had saved some of the hum-dingers I have heard! I guess I deleted the crap from my mail, messaging, and memory! Moving on!
....get it on.... Tom"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.

Yea, many of the folks selling on eboy aren't business people just folks working on their time frame and delays might be a big deal to many of us but to them it means nothing and if there are personal issues good business practices go out the window.
It's just many of the issues that come up in the eboy experience. If you want to avoid that buy from a real retailer otherwise there isn't much you can do.No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

It's pretty simple, when it' time to leave feedback you just check the corresponding boxes for each of these issues - shipping costs, speed of shipping, condition of the item, seller communication.
No need to get all worked up over it, but if that's your tendency you really should rethink whether ebay is a good place for you to buy stuff.

There's also insurance of at least $1.80, unless you're willing to take the risk of the item being damaged in transit. Per ebay's rules the seller is responsible for the delivery of the item in the promised condition, so the resolution of any transit issues is the responsibility of the seller.

Thanked: 69i have 100% feedback and when i sell something i ship it immediately.... the only problem i have ever had as a seller was when i sold a cell phone to a chick in california.... she started a claim that she hadn't received the phone and paypal froze my account.... my wife had shipped this item without a tracking # *(something that had never happened before or since) so i was screwed at that moment cause i had no proof..... i contacted a friend *(a cop) who contacted my service provider with the #'s off the phone and lo and behold.... it was activated in the name of the person i sold/shipped it to.......... i contacted ebay and paypal with my proof and all was good.....
when you ship with the usps and use priority mail with a tracking # it automatically comes with **(i believe) $100 insurance....
please don't try and make me out to be wrong in this..... i did all that was expected of me... i bought and paid immediately..... i sat and waited patiently for the allotted time that the SELLER not me ... the SELLER stated in their ad that it would be at my house.....
the SELLER plainly stated that delivery would be within 7 to 10 days..... not "if i feel like it i will drop the crap you bought from me off to the post office ~7-8 days after you paid me...)
i shop often on ebay and buy quite a bit of stuff.... if i buy something from china/japan and it says "21-25 days shipping"... i know it will be 21-25 days before i see my item.....
what the hell is wrong with expecting someone to do what they say they will do?
if i mail a razor to one of the honemeisters on this site and they tell me ~2week turn around..... would i be right in expecting my razor back in my grubby little paws within 14-16 days??? or an explanation of what happened to cause a delay??Last edited by paco664; 10-03-2011 at 11:39 PM.

No, it doesn't, with priority online they give you the delivery confirmation for free, but not the insurance. It's true that getting reimbursed is a hassle, but once I had to do it. They want some sort of a proof of the value of the item (e.g. what you sold it for, or what the exact same item currently sells for in a store if that's a possibility), then about 6 weeks later you get a check from USPS for the minimum between the insured and the proof value plus the shipping you paid. In my case it was a lost item so I never received it back, but if it's a damage there will probably be need for even more documentation to demonstrate it was packaged well and that it was damaged despite that.
