If the moderator team agrees to look into it, depending on the circumstances of each individual case, after hearing both sides of the story, if the moderators decide the seller committed fraud, or isn't being a 'gentleman', the miscreant is permanently banned. That is about all SRP can do in these rare cases.
The rules for listing in the classfied section, due curtail a lot of problems, but the ability of members to immediately reach a Moderator/Staff (24 hours, since they are spread thoughout the globe) & spotlight a listing, means even more, IMO. The listing can be froze or removed much quicker. Much quicker satisfaction/results than the other pay sites.

For the time required, you would be better off flipping burgers.
Just because you spend a lot of time on a razor does not make the razor worth the amount of time you put in.
The fact that you see those razors not selling is proof that you should reconsider. As far as business plans go, this one sucks.

Even the best restorer I ever knew, Vlad Schneider, flat out said restoring razors for sale is a silly idea, and shared with us the numbers he made. And Vlad was the best I've ever seen. I am going with the assumption that he was better than you are, so the numbers are really not in your favor. Restoration is a very bad idea if you do it for fixing up razors and then selling them.

Besides, the classifieds ar NOT for running a business. So if you want to start making money by restoring razors and selling them, you'd have to either become a vendor, or start your own website or go to ebay. Because that is not what the classifieds are for.
    Hi Bruno !!

I like your philosophy and I'm looking forward to the 6/8 Tuckman arriving down here.

What we have here, is failure to communicate. Or rather, we're coming from different angles.

Most of the senior people here, are in it for the love of the art, in whatever part of it that we like. We put a lot of effort into this place, just because of our passion. There are people who have put thousands of posts into honing research, or helping out newbies in the beginner forum, or experimenting with various restoration or smithing techniques. And then of course there is the staff. I have quite literally put thousands of hours in, to make this site run. So have most of the other staff. One of our unsung heroes is the guy who takes care of the giveaway each month, receiving and sending all packages (and they are many), honing the razors that need honing before sending, etc. Anyway, my point is that all senior here, whether they are regular members or mentors or staff, give a lot.

It is of course possible that we misread the intent of your first post in this thread. Text is a very limited medium. What we read into it was that you were complaining that you were not going to be able to make the quick buck you thought you were going to make. And for people who've all put a lot of free time and money into this site, that can be rather annoying.

Btw, most things sell eventually. Sometime you get 12 offers within a couple of hours, and sometimes it takes 20 days. Things sell eventually. However, my original point stands, if you calculate the hours you put into a decent restoration, your profit is going to be peanuts. After a long time, ou may start to make money restoring other peoples razors, but by then you've put so much time in that it isn't remotely funny unless you do it for the enjoyment and the passion.

Guns n Roses quote. YES! If you spend any time sanding a blade, making scales, learning to hone, let alone learning to shave, you soon learn this is a labor of love. I say put them up for sale and see what happens.

The original line is from cool hand luke, but GNR made it better, indeed.
Too bad they completely lost it. Or rather, Axl did.
