Shave #186 - Straight Razor Hiatus Over

Well, my water looks something like water, the Synergy is able to produce a good lather again, so why not straight razor shave?

A good quick shave with an overal BBS. I did give myself a few weepers on the upper lip. Rushing? Not too sure what the problem was.

My regular 2.5 passer, and the Japanese natural edge on my Geo just mowed through the 4-5 days of growth I had. I would say that I'm an overall BBS, except for the mustache where I'm still not doing a Fool's Pass. Although, today I did a kind of abbreviated Fool's Pass, where I went S-N at the corners of my mustache, but not directly under the nose, so even the mustache is a pretty solid DFS+.

I'm really enjoying the Japanese natural edge on this razor. I think at some point in my honing journey I will try to tackle Japanese natural hones.

I forgot how much I enjoy a PWSS (Post-Workout Shower Shave). I rode my bike for a couple hours this morning, and as I was having my shower I thought why not?

The shave itself I suppose is not necessarily that wonderful, but just mucking around in the shower after a long hot ride around Taipei is nice. I did a 3-passer with a fourth pass on the neck. I'm BBS.

I'm in the last few days of my vacation, so I'm doing as little as possible on all fronts. The only reason I shaved at all is the scruff was irritating my neck as I lay on the sofa binge watching TV for hours and hours.

My usual 2 and a bit passes, I'm going to call it DFS+. It's pretty good, but somehow my left cheek (something I never miss) a bit less smooth than normal. Well, lack of practice shows I guess - I've been pretty lazy with the straights since France.

Shave #188.1 - SWMBO Returns

The wife will be returning around 5am tomorrow, so I grabbed a shave this evening, between my various cleaning chores. Does anyone know how to get the smell of cigars out of the sofa? They were good quality cigars, so I personally think it is ambience, but I'm not sure what SWMBO will think.

Basically a decent BBS shave, but I missed a small spot on the left side of my mustache, and I lopped off two pimples I didn't know I had.

My regular quick and reasonably efficient 2.5 passes netting a very solid DFS/BBS. I'm darn tempted to call it an overall BBS, but it is just a smidge away.

The wife returned from Canada carrying a box of supplies I had sent to my parents from the Italian Barber. So, I have a bunch of new products that I'm going to be trying out over the next couple of weeks. First on the list was some Krampert's Finest AS. Initial impressions are very positive. It's very soothing with a lasting menthol kick, and the frankenscense give it an interesting earthy smell.

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival. I'll be heading out with the family this morning for the traditional picnic BBQ. Just wanted to grab a quick shave, it was getting pretty uncomfortable.
