Thanked: 7Actually to be honest. I cant even figure out how to navigate through this website very well.
I find the website's structure unnecessary overly complex. For a single answer i spend 20 minutes navigating around the website going in circles. By that time i get distracted with something else, and the question never gets answered. By that time i can either A) post a thread and discuss how i didnt research properly, B) keep googling, or C) just post the question on yahoo answers. Which is what ill probably do next time.
If i go to Library in the upper tab, with the page that is displayed, i do not see a link to get to Acronyms and Abbreviations. I see all the categories, but nothing relating to abbreviations. The only method i have been able to get there is from the links posted on this thread.
The only thing i see related is in the FAQ which is pretty much useless
SRP, RAD, HAD - what do these acronyms and abbreviations mean?
Please refer to the growing list of Acronyms and Abbreviations we have compiled for you.Last edited by metulburr; 10-30-2014 at 11:31 AM. Reason: spelling

I,m not sure if your just making it harder than it really is , but I have never had a problem searching , , and it wasn't hard or misleading or complicating. I,m in the oilfield 40 years so my computer skills are not even fair , Where are you searching , in the Google box or the library search? I,m an old guy so if I can do it so should you. Tc

Thanked: 7I mean searching the actual page of the library for anything abbreviation related. I normally process "finding" a link by following the link branch from the root site page. However if the branch is too thick (more than 3 links embedded) than its hard to find things and navigate around.
If the library was the end all be all of info, shouldn't there be a visible link here
Straight Razor Place Library - Straight Razor Place Library
I would think they would be in additional resources, but i guess not.

Metalburr -- I'm not exactly sure what you're asking, but, I don't search the library. I go to the box (labeled Google custom search) at the upper right corner of the forum page you're on while you are reading this, enter the term I'm searching for (in this case "acronyms"), and see what comes up. Then I look at the links beneath the "google sponsored ads" box. And again, in this case the first answer was the link I sent you earlier in this thread. The regular use of the search box was a game changer for me, allowing me to stop trying to figure out where to look for a wide variety of discussion topics. Hope that helps.

If you encounter issues with the way the Libray is structured, then bring it to the attention of someone,,, by posting the problem in the "Site Help, Comment Section"
Site Help, Comments, and Suggestions
The problem will get looked at & corrected if it actually is a problem.
The Library is a constantly changing, growing area. Sometimes members click on a link that deadends them & that link is on a list to be worked.
The Library is not & was never meant to be the ",,,,,the end all be all of info,,,,",, it is meant to be a source of wetshaving related information to assist the members of the forum. It grows as, we learn.

Really? I have never had any problem navigating this website, even from when I first joined. Pretty standard layout, breakdown of topics into sub-forums, search function on the top right, advanced search below. Most of the forum sites on the net use this vBulletin software. Takes a little time to RTFM as we say, (Read The F****** Manual), but most find this site fairly straight forward and intuitive.
