I got to spend the last few days cooking and cleaning the house so we could host Christmas here. I was glad to do it, looking forward to the laughter and stories I knew we would all share. Now that everyone is gone I am ready to do it all over again to have everyone back for more laughter and stories. The house is still echoing with voices and laughter off the hard wood floors. Hope everyone got to be with friends, family and "adoptive" families and has good memories of a grand day!

Nothing shave related, just stuff we need/want but don't necessarily want to buy,( new electric toothbrush, slippers, etc), but my FIL made sure I could add some new editions to my humidor!
Why doesn't the taco truck drive around the neighborhood selling tacos & margaritas???

Shave-wise, I got my first Semogue brush (the trusty 830), and my first cake of Tabac. Face-lathered with both this morning!

Much shave related, I live alone and had a few calls and emails from friends from the fora. My daughter dropped bye with some home cooked goodies and my son has given me a pre-Christmas gift.
A great day to kick back, snooze, and read,
May the gifts you all receive be only a fraction of the good the next year will bring you!

Thanked: 4207Was a Pinaud Christmas for me from the misses.
Received Draggon Noir, a new scent for me, some eau de Portugal hair tonic, also never tried, and my favorite shampoo clubman clubhouse. All Pinaud products in shatter proof bottles.
Also receive some new maca root shave cream and a horsehair shaving brush from my daughter.
Son spoiled me with some nice chunks of maple and ash from the lumber yard, and a nice book on turning to help me along the way.
Santa brought me a new mini lathe, how he ever got it down the chimney without busting a nut, I will never know. Half the size but twice the weight of my tube bed workhorse..
Spending the day, and night with family, fine food, and great laughs over wine. That's the gift I will retain the longest I hope.
Hope you all received that which you desired this season. Also hope you found a few minutes to appreciate those important to you. Both still here, and those that have gone on ahead.
Happy Birthday Jesus.

Dovo Ebenholz honed by SRD that I bought for myself.
My wife, who swore she wasn't buying me anything shaving related or feeding the disorders in any way, got me some caswell massey soap in a wooden bowl.
Of more importance, I got to spend time with all of my family, a lot of friends, and I got to watch my 4 year old niece open her presents. Nothing can beat the look in a child's eyes. Some people never go crazy. What truly horrible lives they must lead - Charles Bukowski

Thanked: 52Shaving related items= F.W. Engels Perfection 8/8 spike pt, just stunning, 3 new Mama Bears soaps, Bottle of witch hazel and a tub of Noxzema.
But the best was a wonderful day spent with the kids, and family, everyone healthy and happy.
Had a wonderful Christmas shave with the new soap and got a BBS 5 pass shave with a razor honed by my honing partner so I guess I got a great edge from him as well.
I hope all you had a wonderful holiday.

Thanked: 1160My Christmas was a working Christmas mostly. So I made great Holiday pay,I got fed generously from residents(God Bless'em) and also had wonderful camaraderie of Christmas spirit with residents and their families. I got for myself a Shark Rocket vacuum, an outstanding Polish Christmas Dinner, and I recieved lots of wonderful gifts and cards from my residents(my second family). I also got to give to friends this year which I really was glad about, My favorite gift this year though was this from the Good Father where I work. I think it may be aged copper. It's an old school Slavic Cross. Merry Christmas
