It's got cool gear , but as a whole I would say no. What it all boils down to is its still just shaving, yes we do it because we enjoy the act with all the toys and pampering , but it's just shaving , and unless your hanging with the teenage acne crowd I doubt it'll get you the cool ego trip. But I could be wrong. Won't be the first time. Tc

Thanked: 0Wow, according to some of the comments on that thread, straight razor shaving makes you a loser.

No it doesn't make you a loser, only you can make yourself a loser , what you shave with just grooms you, almost like saying taking a shower makes you a loser . I,m curious now how old are you? Tc

Thanked: 55Shaving with a straight is incredibly manly.... How many hours have I spent discussing different soaps before deciding that I want them all, particularly Italian almond. Feels and smells like spreading marzipan on my face. Which aftershave or balm do you prefer? Hot towels, hot lather and moisturiser.
In all seriousness, feel like it is almost a spa treatment cross meditation that I can perform mysknife. Two of my friends are now also shaving with straights, not because of coolness. But because it's enjoyable and relaxing."Ignorance is preferable to error, and he is less remote from the truth who believes nothing than he who believes what is wrong."-Thomas Jefferson (Notes on Virginia, 1782)

Most people will be impressed initially that you can get a decent shave with such an old-fashionend thing. But soon they'll start wondering why you bother making such an effort to get the job done.

It's like playing bagpipes. Most people will find it really impressive and think its helluva cool for about fifteen minutes. After those fifteen minutes:
'It's really loud isn't it?....IT'S REALLY LOUD, ISN'T IT??!...YEAH...KIND OF ANNOYING, REALLY! LET'S GO GET A HAPPY MEAL!! WHAAAT??! NO, A HAPPY MEAL!!'
