Thank you for the reply. The thing is that if I bought a shirt from Macy's, I would not what to expect, but I do not know what to expect with a straight razor (I am a newbie in the newbie corner). I am pretty sure that the nick was not in there when I received it, but I am also pretty sure that I did not hit the razor on anything -- I have been very careful. But seeing as how I have been working with it for about two weeks, I would place the burden on me as the one who has been handling it for the last two weeks. Are nicks something that can be the result of manufacturing, or is it much more likely that I caused the damage myself without knowing it.
