Thread: what should i get for a starter's razor?

yea like i said in my PM to you Mike i thought about the micarta but i read a couple reviews and they weren't as positive as they were on the dovo specials, so i thought better of it and went for the latter instead.
now i'm speaking way way too early BUT i'm hoping that this will be the only razor i get for a long time
let's hope i don't get curious about other razors lol

The path down the road to RAD started when you joined the forum...

but i did take peek at the boker staright razors.. wow they're nice aren't they !!! but i will resist

The new Bokers? Stay away from knifecenter. Bad stories about that place. Mixed reviews about the new bokers, I won't repeat them.

I thought RAD was the light side of the force?

i guess a few razors won't hurt, that would be the light side, 150 razors !! well that's the dark side lol

What bad stories? I haven't heard anything negative about knifecenter (though I haven't been looking either), and occasionally mention them to new guys as a low cost website for name brand straight razor products
