How many here can shave w/ both hands?
I've been straight razoring for a couple of years but didn't realize that it is necessary/desirable to get comfortable shaving w/ my other hand. I notice that Lynn recommends learning to do this and it makes perfect sense but, I haven't crossed that bridge yet. :-(
Anyone here comfortable shaving w/ either hand, from the get-go, or had to learn to shave w/ the other hand?
Since I am already comfortable shaving w/ my dominant hand, I guess I should make an attempt to gradually get comfortable shaving w/ the other.
Here's the FYI/DIY thread I got the recommendation from:

Thanks again Lynn for all the helpful tips.Last edited by rostfrei; 09-11-2010 at 09:28 PM.

My non dominant hand is less than co-ordinated, but I made it learn to shave from the outset. Though I'm not quite equally comfortable using either, I'm not far off it. That I can do it is surely proof that any one is capable! :-)

I learned one first. Then the second about a 2 weeks after starting. I now use both hands and I'm very comfortable doing so. I think its worth the time to learn both. You're going to be shaving the rest of your life, why not make the most of it.

Since I'm right-handed, The two area's I have difficulty reaching are the left side of my neck; in the crook, & the area to the upper-left of my nose.

Left hand
I can not shave my whole face with my dominant hand. My first shave I tried it but just could not get the angle down. So I switched to my left hand and found that I can do it just as well as my right hand. So I have been shaving with both hands since the start.

I do, all the time. Began rather shaky, but its second nature now.

It's a must
I don't think that I could get a decent shave without
using both hands.
