Someone that is on coumadin (blood thinner) has to be very careful about taking in excess Vit K as this is a reversal for it. (or fresh frozen plasma). As such anyone who is taking this for Atrial fib, or a artificial heart valve should NEVER shave with anything but a electric. It sucks but better to be alive then dead.....
Now that being said anyone on aspirin or plavix just has to be careful and understand the risks and that they will bleed more due to Platelet inhibition.
Then there are the other drugs like sub Q lovenox or heparin. These people also should not shave..... Sad facts of having a longer lifespan then when Str8's were the only the only choice. most people were dead by 40......"We sleep soundly in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm."

I used to shave in the shower a lot.. With a cart and a can of gel. After getting basically clean and done washing my hair I would quickly shave with my back to the shower. After each couple of strokes, I would simply hold the razor behind my back and let the shower water rid it of soap and go back at it, mostly by feel.
The last time I did that, during a cleaning pass, I ran the razor across the back of my leg and up my butt cheek. I put about a 7" slice in a perfect arc. It bled like the devil. No way to put much of a bandage on it. Had to smear stuff on it, wear long shorts and hope for the best.
It didn't take long at work before the blood began showing thru my pants. I had to go home and try and patch it up as best I could and finished the day working from home, trying not to sit on my butt. I stopped shaving in the shower.
Sorry no pictures, LOL!!!
Happy shaving mates, and let's not hurt ourselves again, eh??-- Any day I get out of bed, and the first thing out of my mouth is not a groan, that's going to be a good day --

Thanked: 1I had someone kick my bathroom door open a few days ago to be funny and I took a chunk out of my chin. Didn't notice until after yelled at them and rinsed the razor off.
First bad experience using a straight.

Thanked: 3My first shave with a shavette i didn't know how to properly load the blade, no instructions and no one to show me. I tried to slide the blade in the end of the razor rather than pull the plastic out and insert the blade. I actually pulled it off amazingly enough. But as soon as i started shaving the blade kept shifting and digging into my cheek. I probably cut myself 10 times on each side. But i was too stubborn to give up. When i finished "shaving" and started tending to my battle scars, my wife picked up the shavette and figured out how to pull out the plastic and insert the blade so it was properly seated..... Go ahead and make fun of me... i have earned it on that one.

Thanked: 7Worst cut I suffered due to my razor was from my Dovo. I was finished shaving and I flicked the last bit of water off the blade like i do with all my blades, the center pin broke and the blade slammed into my middle finger nail slicing it in half.
