But some of us were born and raised and are still living in large congested cities

There is no way that you can paint any group
with a large brush stroke.
As for myself, I have no real experience with
congestion. The largest city in this state is
Charleston the state capitol and it only
has 50,000 people and the population
is on the decrease. The area that I live in
has no sidewalks, street lights and the closest
traffic light is 8 miles away.
I hope that I didn't offend anyone with my
comment. If so I apologise.

Thanked: 0Anyone ever been to a place where when your driving, and you are driving faster than someone else, they will pull off on the shoulder of the road, and let you pass them? I grew up in a small town in Texas that now has one redlight... which caused a lot of comotion and several accedents in town. And that is what people do around my hometown... When I left texas I was always mad when people wouldn't pull over, or wave... then I realised that its only like that where im from lol.... Most places I go, your nieghbors wont even look at you, much less wave...

Yeah I've had people to pull over and let traffic by. It's
also common for on coming traffic to stop when a funeral
procession is passing by.
People where I live typically know their neighbors. Of
course there is very little if any inward imigration into
the southern coalfield areas.
Quite honestly someone would have to be born and raised
in these places to actually like it.
But being a native son, I do like the place.

I can't believe there are no takers for this. If it goes on like this, I'll have to go outside the SRP, however I would like to give it to someone in the community.

Would someone out there who is razorless
make Ilijah's day and take him up on his
offer. No doubt that this is a very nice razor.
Quite generous of him to make the offer.

Thanked: 1I'd love to be the recipient such a generous offer. I don't have a straight yet but I don't want to take it from someone less financially able to purchase one than I.

Steve, that is very courteous of you, but at the same time this is not a means-tested draw. In any case I don't see people rushing to sign up, so I'll put your name on the list and we'll see who else goes for it. The draw is open until the end of the week and will be completely random.

Ilijah,
I'm no good at restoring razors but would be proud to send an old ebayer to you for restoration and to give away to someone who needs it.
When you are thinking of doing this again pm me with your details and I'll post you one.

Thanks for the offer. The next one will be done when I get my hands on radial bristle wheels. Widgetsupply doesn't have'em ATM but they told me they'll start carrying them over the next couple of months. The reason I want to use'em is that they produce an even nicer satin finish according to Bill. What I am getting now is alright but it could be better. I'll keep everyone posted on how they turn out.
