Thanks guys. I ordered a second razor and will send out my current one to get honed as soon as I have a chance to test them side by side and check that my stropping was actually keeping it sharp. So I'm bummed that I dinged the Dovo so quickly but in the end I'll have two to rotate in case one needs to get honed. The replacement I ordered is a Boker Edelweiss. It cost almost twice as much as my first razor but it's the same 5/8 size and I figured I should try a different brand as long as I am rotating the two. Thanks for the advice - I hope to report back on a BBS shave in the future!
