I was just being a little sarcastic. I just wasn't paying attention and swiped instead of swooshed. I still think reading this thread jinxed me though.

Thanked: 1587Ah. Yes, swiping will do it, particularly if you were expecting a swoosh. We should start a superglue thread for people who swish.

Thanked: 247I already answered, but I would like to point out that *I* view using a styptic in a similar light to using pre-shave oil, or any other voluntary subjective choice.
I see NO shame, or symbol of inexperience, or sign of ineptness in anyone's decision to use a styptic. Further, I'm not impressed by a claim of never using one.
We all deal with shaving differently, and some face-scapes are impossible to shave without an occasional weeper (or even not-so-occasional).
Some choose TP, some choose alum, some just bleed and clot. It's all good. Perhaps no one feels shame here, and perhaps no one is perpetrating macho by scoffing the styptic. I just want to let everyone know that we are ALL wet shavers and therefore, we ALL probably understand that there are a lot of personal choices.
Peace and love to all
