Recently joined here and living in Joburg. Still to introduce myself on the Introductions thread.

Currently use DE's and am in the process of acquiring a Straight.

Just a pity that there are only 1 or 2 place to buy Straights from and with our dodgy postal service, it's a major risk to import!

You are here, I wondered if your interest might have moved on to other things already, with the shaving again taking its normal place as a daily chore. I am in George. I am waiting for my razor, for now im busy getting all my ducks in a row. Need to find or make a strop buy cream and so on. Good to see you guys here!

I was shaving with one of my straights this morning and as i was shaving i reflected that it is one of my favourite things in the world - strop, lather, shave and the occasional hone !

Any one of you guys think you have honing figured out ?

Also would like to know.
