Thanked: 2284Only down side to an oil finish is there maintenance. Some time in the future you will need to re apply the oil. Don't get me wrong, oil finish is super pretty and I like it a lot. That being said, CA or poly can be applied and you never have to worry about it ever again.

I've made some pipes before. Nothing like putting in hours of sanding and then finding an inclusion that ruins the whole thing.
