Thanked: 2284Thanks for the comments guys! Of course, I only see the flaws in it. As you can see, I should have aligned the grain on the 2 cocobolo pieces. That alone ticks me off that I didn't do it. There's a few others but I'll spare you my bellyaching.

Thanks for sharing your secrets!
I should add that I also do small cuts in the dowel with my japanese saw , then sand it with 80, all so the epoxy can grab it. I know you often use fluted dowels which would work very well with epoxy. Unfortunatly 1/2" dowel doesnt come fluted.
