Had to fill the Jarrah voids with epoxy.
Turned and sanded to 1500 grit
First coat of oil
Burls, Girls, and all things that Swirl....

It's been some time since I've turned cocobolo and I forgot how light it is on the inside. With time, the natural oil will oxidize, it will darken and almost turn black. I like it better darker.

Those thin veneer strips adjacent to the nut really, really work to define the edges of the white. Great job on her Andrew. Dad's gonna love it!
