    Default Dads birthday brush

This may be my most complicated brush I've done yet. This one is going to be for my Dad, his Christmas gift. Hopefully things go well, in the past Tagua nut likes to fly apart on me. Here's the sketch of what I intend it to look like. Hopefully I don't have to stray to far away from it.

May take a few days to glue this one up. See you soon.

As long as it's for Dad. He will enjoy the complexity of his brush as much as I am enjoying mine. (but beware, this devious mind is churning away for the future when money isn't as tight)

I have done a "reply with quote" by accident too.
Glad to see some good Aussie timber in there too though being English at heart I would prefer oak
hope it goes well, and if all else fails I could post you the troll brush

Got it all glued up last night at 10:30. Should get it turned and oiled tonight. Took a while just to do this but it went very well, which is surprising.

In hindsight I should have lined up the grain of the two pieces of Cocobolo. Oh well. The Tagua nut is 1 3/8 in diameter and won't get any smaller than its shows in this pic. That's the biggest I could get two pieces from one nut.

Ed, I have two Troll dolls here that are my daughter's. A few times I've thought, would they notice if one was missing????? No, but my wife would! Lol.
