Right out of the box....a little gentile persuasion....voila!!
This is going to be easy.
Look out Tc...I can unscrew 'em by hand too.

Sorry Tc - lol - I have the Rubberset 3 and 4, one with a Shavemac D01 knot and the other with the D01-2 knot - epic brushes done by the Mike The Bomber Brush Restorer!! :-)
You’ll love it...scratch enough in it that sometimes you don’t need a razor, just scrape that shite off :-)Last edited by Phrank; 04-27-2018 at 02:53 PM.

Well...not too shabby for a old retired guy. 28 years of working in maintenance with tools in my hands every day helped.
Now I have to find some kind of properly sized spacer to use for gluing the base of the knot to that will make it stable when It gets screwed back together. I read somewhere that 3 quarters will work.

Thanked: 4206Way to go Pete. Depending on how brittle that rubber became over the years, the rest should be easy. Tedious maybe, but easy,

Spent a little time on the buffer and polishing. It went quite well.
I used a 24mm Tuxedo Synthetic knot.
