Totally get that Tim. Shaun sent me some of that yew too, and like you I was slow, and fearful almost to cut into it for fear of friggin it up.
Once cut, it got easier, hehe. This burl he sent me, just beautiful stuff I’ve been saving for special turns. This handle could be one of them.
Going to try one in some of that bog oak MikeT sent me,,,maybe. Afraid that stuff will snap carbide cutters as it’s basicaly petrified almost.
