Thanked: 1195I remember that instance and will assure you that posting one picture is not enough to get you banned; in fact that member had a list of infractions that was staggering. In other words he had more than enough chances before he blew it.
In any event (and this is not just for Ed) as we do prefer to keep these matters private please refrain from citing specific incidents contact a staff member if you have any questions. Otherwise it only fuels speculation.

Funny-"Over there" they think we have overzealous moderators, and I know some believe the same over here about "them." I wouldn't wish the moderator's job on anyone, as I'm certain it's a PITA at times. In general, the shaving forums are much more gentlemanly than some of the fly-fishing forums (ironic since people erroneously think of fly-fishing as a gentleman's sport).

Sorry Ryan, I realised that the picture wasn't the only thing he did, and I realise that I shouldn't have cited the specific picture, but I think most people at the time would have spotted it.
On the other hand a very prominent member posted a post that I found quite distasteful and was going to message them and say so, but they had self moderated and pulled the post themselves, which is a good thing.Bread and water can so easily become tea and toast

Some did, and ended up getting it set up as a permanent.
The chief ways are the obvious violations of "pretty common sense, respect eachother kindof stuff".
However, I have the sense that it is worth pointing out something that should be in that category, yet doesn't seem to be obvious to some members; if a member attempts to undermine the moderators, by say trying to be "cute" and complies pro forma with the moderators requests.
We do not have to have everybody as a member. If one lacks a basic sense of self-preservation a time may come when they get too smart for their own good and earn that special status line.
Since you seem to prefer the public communication let me state it plainly on the public record - you are on the line and have no further "benefit of the doubt" left. Consider this your final warning.

Thanked: 227I don't think I have ever been reprimanded on this forum (mods feel free to correct me I forget a lot lol), I have however entered into a number of discussions on this forum. Some heated. But the one thing I have always found, which I believe is a testiment to the people on this forum, is that there is no malice. Lots of arguing but it always ends with a shake of the hand and a lets agree to dissagree. I have been on other forums where people take everything personally.
I find it hard to imagine folk getting banned. Everyone seems so nice lol.
