I guess you can cure boredom the same way you cure writers block. you lift up the block and start writing.

Aw Ed, come on, show us your real boredom. You've barely touch the surface. Bored is when you attend a family function and have to listen to your ex blather on and on on her life without you (mine's better by a long shot and I'd certainly not tell her that.) Bored is being the semi hermit I am and having to listen to tales of their travels from well heeled old friends. Bored was waiting for 5 o'clock to roll around so you could go get a drink.

What are yours - and everyone's - boredom points?

I generally try to avoid functions of any sort, not that I am a recluse, and I will go to work do's out of a sense of feeling like I should, but I really don't like large gatherings of people, catching up with a few friends is nice though (unless I am in a contrary mood)

Ed , we are more alike than I thought.

What would not bore me would be living in the country in an old farm house and sitting on the front porch with a shotgun across my knees and challenging anyone and anything that came up the well rutted driveway.

That borders on pure joy in my book.

Work is extremely boring. Our brilliant executive management decided to off-shore product development of our project to Bangalore, India with promises to move us on to more exciting projects. As if good/cheap/fast ever worked, but I'm sure this time it will be innovative, different.

I need to change the air in my tires, it's old. It tastes terrible when I inhale it. I also need more blinker fluid for my turn signals.
Oh wait, I'm like Bill Clinton, I don't inhale!
