I have had it fried but not smoked.

    Honey makes everything taste better.

I have been taking a swig/teaspoon of honey with my medicine and it sure helps!

Down here n BBQ country we take one of those chubs of Bologna, the full log, and take a plug out f it about an inch around thru the middle, fill it with BBQ sauce, the plug the hole back up with a piece of what you took out, then smoke it for a 3-4 hour period then wrap in foil and finish cooking for another hour, Yum. Yum. Tc

I would have to try this before I hit the like button. For some odd reason it sound worth trying though...

I am trying to think of why it needs to be wrapped in foil to be "cooked" for another hour or so. Does it take that long to soak the sauce through? Do you put more sauce on before you wrap in foil to get the outside?

I understand if this is a secret family recipe and you can't share more than you have.

Sometimes when broke, cheap is more important than classy. When I was in college I too frequently made spaghetti with the only sauce being condiment packages of ketchup. In that era, spam was a treat; and it was one that was thinly sliced to make it last longer.

Tim, the foil is to finish it and let the BBQ sauce sweat in the meat, if you leave it too long without covering the meat just splits wide open and let's out your sauce, I like the bark but don't it to lose everything inside. Tc

Oh forgot, spam and Mac and cheese

Mix in some green beans and you've got the full meal with the old four food groups.
