The Final Proof of the non-Existence of God was proved by a Babel Fish.

Now, it is such a bizarrely improbable coincidence that anything so mind-bogglingly useful could have evolved purely by chance that some have chosen to see it as the final proof of the NON-existence of God. The argument goes something like this:

"I refuse to prove that I exist," says God, "for proof denies faith, and without faith I am nothing."

"But," says Man, "the Babel fish is a dead giveaway, isn't it? It could not have evolved by chance. It proves that You exist, and so therefore, by Your own arguments, You don't. QED"

"Oh dear," says God, "I hadn't thought of that," and promptly vanishes in a puff of logic.

"Oh, that was easy," says Man, and for an encore goes on to prove that black is white and gets himself killed on the next zebra crossing.

I read these exact lines only two days ago Mr Adams is quite a genius, there are so many things I would like to quote, I might as well copy-paste the whole series.

If you wear sock suspenders you have to have a shabby stuffed cat, a once live cat, whom you talk to in a high pitched nancy man voice...and spot on, no lovin', just you, your suspenders and Felix....plus an Iwasaki Western. It doesn't sound so bad right now.

I have bad cat allergies, that would be suicide. I'd have to have a taxidermy Fido.

I feel we are all witness to a life-changing event: the birth of a new species.
    The homo offtopicus.
    Some of his characteristics:
    - is very fond of hobby's that seems strange to others.
    - may be serious, but only in extreme circumstances and only for a few seconds.(thirds may also be possible)
    - has an explenation for everything.
    - is attracted by others of his kind and they group up in the most strange places.
    - a straight answer is possible, maybe with an edge but also an answer with a double edge.
    - might carry an infectious virus such as: RAD, SAD, HAD, BAD,...

If you have any experience in meeting one of these feel free to add more information.
When encountering one in the future, If you feel uncertain in his proximity, look down and slowly walk away.
But if you seem to like him, you're one as well, so get the party started.
32t, edhewitt and Ludvig like this.
    Sometimes I feel normal.
Then it's time to lay down and wait for it to pass.
