ostrich egg omelette anyone?


the story behind this egg...
I've was laid up with a busted leg and the other in a cast (yes full blown loser with 2 casts on, but that's another story) and I was getting lots of phone calls and text everyday from people asking "hey do you need anything" well yeah! but I, like you, are to stubborn/proud to ask for help. After a few days of the same people calling and asking the same question, "hey do you need anything?" my simple answer was, "yeah an ostrich egg" being in New York this is virtually impossible to find and most people just laughed at my request. I say most cause as you have already seen the pictures there is always that one good Brother that will go above and beyond for you! well hence... my rendition of the eclipse!!! moral of the story... be careful what you wish for! you just might get it! Love my ostrich egg!

Please end the suspense. What did you do with the ostrich egg?

Given the CI pan and the two casts, perhaps this should go in the “cast” iron pan.

I have eaten a variety of eggs but not one from an ostrich.

When converting from ostrich to chicken I bet that would make imperial to metric a breeze.

I was in the UK when they were converting to decimal currency - way before the euro. Some grocer was trying to sell 10 eggs as a “metric dozen”.

Bummer. Shaved head will be the outcome on that one.
