That's impressive, Jerry. Now he can pay his way in life.
Maybe some for when u go to the old folks home, to say thanks.
BTW. HE PASSED HIS TEST, NOT PASTED
You remind me so much of a friend I grew up with. He could write, just couldn't spell.
I know how u feel though, my youngest daughter has finally decided to get her GED, at the age of 20. I'm hoping that the heart to heart conversations we've had about life, and time, are finally sinking in. Cause it waits for no one.Mike

I have an old friend (Bill) who was a Master Electrician and went on to become a Washington State Wiring Inspector. He's been retired for many years now.
Years ago while Bill was an Inspector dad asked him to install a 200 amp panel on his house to replace the multitude of fuse boxes and Bill said no problem. So he bought the needed parts and drove 60 miles to do the job. When he arrived he realized that he'd forgotten to bring a ladder and he asked if we had one and I said sure, and went and got our aluminum ladder. Bill smiled and said it had to be either a wooden or fiberglass ladder so I borrowed a wooden ladder from work.
Bill positioned the ladder under the cables coming off of the power pole then climbed up and asked me to steady the ladder. Once he was within reach, he started cutting the cables--------------------- I said; "Bill aren't those wires LIVE" and he calmly said "Oh yea, but theoretically I shouldn't get my battery charged".
I let go of the ladder and stepped back and told Bill to let me know when he was coming down and I'd hold the ladder again.
I hate working on 110 V----Dc is no problem but the AC----I always envision-----------

It can be scary if you think too hard about it but then again...
I stick with electronics. The amps will still kill ya but the voltage is less so it makes me feel better. It's just Sharpening, right?

Thanked: 4206Roy my good buddy, hate to tell ya, but DC is more lethal than AC.
At least with AC, the current switches direction 60 times a second and you ‘may’ break free, with DC, straight juice, in one direction. And it’s not the voltage you need worry about, it’s the amperage. And it’s surprising how few amps it takes to stop a heart.
I’ve personally been zapped and popped a 25amps fuse and lived to complain about it,, would not do that again willingly. Although I do still work on ac circuits live when required.
