Thread: The Ukraine situation

As far as i know, for the last few weeks the armed forces of every European country bordering Grey Bear have been more or less openly 'behind the button'.

The Ukrainan gambit has touched most people deeply. People have been lighting blue and yellow candles in their windows to support Ukrainians and to feel sorry for those who died in Maidan. Hope there will be no more.

Everyone is hoping the peaceful solution to Ukraine but also fearing for the crisis to escale. It's about 100 years since the WW1 started.
My wife who works as a nurse with little kids recently said that these little ones have started to ask questions like are the kids in Ukraine safe.

I think this all suck. I hope everything will be ok for all. I know personally many russian people and i think they are just like everyone. But i have no words strong enough to say what i think about their political leader, known as Little Vova here.

On the funny side there recently was an interesting cover on a kids magazine. Purposeful or not but many find it very symbolic with colors and all.

From what I am seeing over here, they seem to think that they are liberating the Russian people there, and this occupation might as well have been a mission from God himself. Which you know, if sold well enough, would probably see every Russian willing to die to defend their leaders position no matter what happens in the referendum lol.

I've been trying to read media as much as i can, but being at work for almost two weeks now has been limiting this strongly. We've been busy.

However, been reading some. As far as i know the media is pretty much controlled by the state in Russia. They have uncontrolled social media and the tones are bit different there. Ther has been riots in Moscow supporting Maidan and Ukraine but obviosly they have been quickly put down by Omon forces.
After all it's really difficult to say how things really are there. The truth is always the first victim.
If people there really believe they are defending their country then they surely will fight for it. Just like in every country.

Of course there's propaganda on both sides but most seem to think that the change is coming to Belarus and Russia too and we are now watching the last struggle. Hope we don't have to see war before it ends. We have relatively large Russian minority in Finland and of what i've seen in media, most seem to think 'shame on Putler' etc.

Follow the money. Countries are used as chips by international banks and cartels . This one isn't over oil, it's natural gas. What country is now supplying it? What country has more they they know what to do with and isn't selling it abroad?? They need to block the old and bring in the new.It's all in the money!

Reading excerpts of Putin's speech today, whipping up the crowd is scarily "Hitleresque." This doesn't have a good direction with an Eastern Ukraine area asking to be annexed now...and some part of Moldavia

Let them sort it out,is thier country,none of our business.
The U.S infrastructure is falling apart,200K homeless vets wander our streets,70K homeless children do the same.
OUR country is circling the drain and yet we spend 100s of Billions on trying to fix what cannot be fixed in country we should just ignore,JMO

I think Putin should annex all of Europe. He deserves it.
