It's a pretty good gig. I recently got a promotion that took me off of the waerfront where the hands on work is done and am now in an office. However, my time in the Navy serving on a sub has been an immense help as I can talk to the Navy personnel and understand the jargon. I still find excuses to do worksite tours and talk with my old buddies. I can't sit in a chair day in and day out.
The older I get the more I realize how little I actually know.
