What you do for a living?
Hi, all. I wanted to start a thread to get to know every body a little more. Like the title what do you do for a living?
My name is Walter, every body calls me Gene, I work at a power plant as a heavy equipment operator. I love it, because i can see what I've done when I'm done !!

I am a fabric artist making quilted art quilts of various sizes. Also a part time bookkeeper for one son's business. The rest of the time I spend too much time on this forum, and enjoying it. But I do bite my tongue at times when I want to respond to some of the posts that can be irritating and not liking and thanking enough people for their posts.

Thanked: 603I'm retired... see my avatar and signature, for details.
You can have everything, and still not have enough.
I'd give it all up, for just a little more.

I've been a 'fishboy' on a shrimp boat, a carpenter, a carpet mechanic (installer), a union ironworker in structural steel erection, and finally a professional tattoo artist.
Now retired but I never sleep late.
Must be something in the air in Greenacres.Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I'm an historian currently working for the Gov't and trying to get back into academia.
It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Thanked: 4828I have had a few jobs over time. Cook, carpenter, locksmith, I worked the commercial fish boats on the north west coast, I guide sports fish (salmon mostly) and my current main occupation is I am a rescue specialist for the Canadian Coast Guard. I am sure there are some other things that I ave missed but thats a pretty good over view.
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!
