That's a great song. Gotta be quick to sing along! I remember as a kid, the Smothers Brothers did a parody. He was a regular on their show.
I still sing "knowin' that your door is always open and your furniture is gone"!
Glen went downhill after marrying that Tanya Tucker. Had a rough later life. I Remember that movie he made, 'Norwood"."Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."

Yep! John Hartford was a great song writer!
Whenever my wife gets to come to one of my shows I have to sing and play this one for her.
