That would actually be the good son and this thread would have to be the evil twin. Maybe that's what's wrong with America....our sense of right and wrong and good and evil ?

[QUOTE=Phrank;1422196]In my opinion, nothing has changed at all, it's just another cycle that is repeating itself again over the thousands of years of civilizations, the only things that have changed are the people and the toys. I'm sure the Romans had this same conversation, as did countless other societies, and they will continue forever until we are just a distant, extinct memory in this tiny Solar System.

Before it was local. This time it just went global. The fallout, blowback, upchuck and so on will be exponentially worse.
The inner-connectivity of our world today will bear this to fruition. We cannot even agree globally about climate change. Our species on its own will never come to a fair and equitable solution for the majority. The 1% will survive ,maybe and marginally at best. They are ill prepared to survive without the servant class. They call it a Hail Mary for a reason.

I'm guessing that's a line of thinking to which American Indians everywhere can relate.

Its only funny till we are the drunk/drugged nation put on crap land with all our dignity stripped.
    Wait that is us now.
All we need now is some small pox blankets. Wait Entrovirus from the South and Ebola from the East.
This is shaping up for the trifecta of bad outcomes
How ironic & poetic. If your an American Indian, I would be on the floor laughing my butt off.
    Wait thats not nice .

Talking about North American Indians and Immigration the ultimate paradox involves them. There is this concept of Deportation and one of Exclusion. You deport folks from the U.S and Exclude them to keep them out (though there are exceptions). Indians who live near the Northern Border and migrate to Canada and back south again have a treaty with the U.S and Canada allowing them free access to cross. Of course the ones born in the U.S are U.S Citizens (at one time they weren't, as I recall they were made U.S Citizens in the early 20th century) but the ones born in Canada are Canadian Citizens. So the law says the Canadian Indians can't be excluded from entry into the United States however they are deportable. So if some dude is a mass murderer we can't keep him out but the minute he steps foot in the U.S he can be arrested and deported back to Canada and the cycle starts all over again. The same goes for U.S Indians who go into Canada. They can't be kept out of there either.
