Where There's Smoke/There's Fire
Hi All,
Well my home state of Washington is literally 'Burning Up' and it's not from High Temperatures, it's from wild fires. Here's a link to a map to show what I'm talking about:
NWCC :: Home
Here's the view from the front porch of the Boars Nest:
The density of the smoke in the WW Valley was much worse earlier in the day but I was at work and couldn't take any pictures.
I do hope some rain comes and comes soon! Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdins cave of 'stuff'.

Pray it is only smoke and not embers.
If you don't care where you are, you are not lost.

What I pray for is that no other fire fighters die battling the blazes. One that did was a student at Whitman College here in WW.
Sorry I forgot to include an important link. I do hope it will work for everyone:

Thanked: 13246This is what we are using Roy
InciWeb the Incident Information System: Idaho Panhandle National Forest Incidents
and this
GeoMAC
The second one is pretty accurate as it shows the actual size of the fire
Toady the wind shifted for the good at our place and we have good clear air and we needed it bad
We have had actual ash falling for 10 days now you can see it rise as you walk through the grass
Spent all day Tues and Wed cutting trails, low branches and moving deadfall around the property I can't imagine how hard it is for the Firefighters, I was beat down just from what I did
Stay safe

Thanked: 13246A little smile
Sometimes even out on the fireline you have to take the time to smile
This was sent from a fireline over in WA
Look really close and you will see it

Unless my eyesight is worse than I thought I see the rough shape of a rabbit in the grass.
