One difference that I can see is that most post WWII politicians in western (formerly)industrialized countries tended to shy away from the politics of hate and scapegoating. Probably because of the likes of Hitler and what he was able to accomplish by those methods.

No one is looking for a messiah. If he does 10% of what he talks about that will be an improvement. People want jobs perhaps he can bring some back. The current trade agreements are a one way street not going our way. If anyone thinks that clinton will improve anything in this country is not being honest. She has been involved one way or another in everything that has gone on in the last who knows how long. In fact I challenge anyone to name 1 positive thing she has accomplished. At least Trump brings an unknown entity to the table. And lets be honest are you better off now than you were 8 years ago? Is this country better off? I know i'm not. Look at what he has accomplished getting to this point, it was remarkable if you think about it. I would never say never with this guy. I am willing to give it a shot.
