K,,, the right tools for the job. We've all heard it, and say it when we actually have the right tool on hand.
Bought a bunch of specific spiral carbide bits to get more photo detail in the carved corian and am very happy with the results.
See below my first one done with a quality dremel 1/8 dia ball end tool on the left, and the most recent done with a spiral .25mm dia carbide tool on the right.
These are 2x3" little panels of corian, so getting really good detail levels in these little pieces gives me confidence in the settings I am working with.
Moving on to the main event which will be a 6x8 insert in a keepsake box lid.
Wife's birthday is still three weeks away but I want time for the f--k up factor. ;)

Great axe restore!! I'm working on an old Plumb right now. Lots of polishing to do and I'm making the handle myself. Just restored a couple of spokeshaves that should help a lot on the handle making.

Be sure to get us some pics. :D

Pieces coming together for the misses keepsake box.

Look at that burl patterning after stabilizing. And the bog oak trim for the lid all safely ripped to length. Walnuts making up the sides.
Attachment 262402
And the main lid panel made of corian milled to less than 1 mm thick in the lightest spots..that's fitting into the bog frame. I am making another panel, a little thicker, just in case. ;)

Still have a bunch of fussy little details to work out, but getting there..
I miss restoring razors, hehehe.

I love the panels. The wood is fantastic. The idea and pulling it all together is amazing. Great work!
