    From xman:
Collecting comic books isn't that eccentric
It is if you're old enough to shave.

Default I'm not eccentric, just a little ADD

My wife describes my shop/storeroom as an archaeological dig of hobbies. Which have been over the past 40 years:

    Competitive shooting and handloading
Fly Fishing and rod making and fly tying
    Bicycling
    Motorcycles
    Mountain Climbing
    Golf
    Playing Pitch (Card Game)
    Good Cigars and Irish Whisky
    Woodworking
    Straight Razors

I was a military helicopter pilot in the '60's and '70's and my day job now is being a lawyer.

I must admit that the SR get me a lot of strange looks and comments from friends. My buddy Steve said "Even for you, Thats weird". I pointed out that he shouldn't f*&$ around with people who you know own straight razors and he promptly saw the logic in that.

    Regards, Mike Layne

Other than leather working, my hobbies include playing chess, making and playing Japanese Shakuhachi flutes, amatuer astronomy, photography, collecting and using slide rules, palying with antique sewing machines, etc.....

For a long while I foiled with vintage cars and motorcycles but as I get older day trips with my wife in search of vintage slide rules, razors, etc... and ending up with a nice dinner somewhere is more enjoyable.

Eccentric hobbies? Why, I think my hobbies are quite mundane.

    Sword collecting.
    Knife making.
    Whip plaiting.
    Leather working (in general).
    Wet shaving.
Playing and making games (all sorts), and making game scenarios.

    Just to mention a couple.

    Hmmm, let's see...

Programming, I've been getting into Python lately.
Graphic Design, web design, anything that lets me mess around for hours on end with Photoshop.
I play guitar, as well as a bit of mandolin, harmonica, penny-whistle and banjo. I was in a Punk band back home in Israel, but that was at least five years ago and the band has drifted far, far away from Punk in my absence.
Cycling...well, it's less of a hobby and more how I get from A to B. but I like riding my bike! (Cue the Queen music)
    Homebrewing, especially stouts.
I'm trying to get into razor restoration but I'm not very knowledgeable yet.
I'm into pocket-watches and have a very modest collection.
I'm into waistcoats (gotta keep those watches somewhere!) and ties, and have a not-so-modest collection. I'm pretty sure that my tie collection is bigger than my dad's.

Seems like none of the above are especially unique in these parts. Not that eccentric either.

That said, I'm a decent lithographer. I don't know how many more of those are on the forum

I do have a lithography stone
Actually, I had 2. Now I have 1.5 litography stone and a norton sized waterstone made of the same material.

    Mostly mundane stuff -

Fishing, and learning about fly fishing.
    Books on WWII history
    War history in general
Classic cars (mostly 40's and 50's)
    Hand guns

That pretty much sums up whatever time is not taken up by work or family.
