Thread: How many AR magazines, How many rounds in your stash ?

Gen 2 PMags frequently go on sale for less than $10, 10 for $80 deals are pretty common. This isn't a bad deal for windowed Gen 2's:

I reload both .45 acp and 5.56. I have several thousand round of 5.56 loaded, and about 5k of just projectiles waiting on brass and powder. I have a full set up to melt lead into .45 acp projectiles. A lifetime supply of lead and brass, so my only limiting factors for a lifetime of shooting .45 is powder and primers, plus time to melt down the lead. Then I got the hook up from my marine corps friend who was a drill instructor a while back. 16 brand new 30 round mags for 5.56. Needless to say, I don't like not having a few thousand rounds on hand, at a minimum.

Well I ended up with 12 mags, and 1k rounds of 556. Now I know some guys like 4k, others 8k, many 12k and some even 20k ........ or am I getting my threads mixed up ......

I have 15 mags per AR and plenty of ammo to feed them for awhile.

Same with the AK's.

Actually , I stop at 8K then I go to a finisher.

Yep exactly. Besides, some may have Belt feds. In your stash? I say which "Stash"? There may be many, or just a few.

Let's say I have enough for me and the wife to fight the vermin away for quite some time, if necessary, lol.....

Several years ago came across a crate at an uncle's house full of Army issued 30 round clips. Nothing like a good old AR 15 metal clip.

OH, now I notice this was a thread about pop guns.

I can truthfully say, I own NO AR mags and have no AR ammo in my stash.
