Used to sell insurance door to door. I found meself on Feather Indian land. Could tell by the surroundings. I got the h%^^ off as fast as I could! Lots of cars, boats and trailers sideswiped and gone to the sideswiper...1980. Sorta like Tijuana back then.

Good to know, it just wasn't a good situation, and no one seemed to think there was anything I could do, other than wait till he showed up again. It really put a damper on an otherwise great trip, I got home with 5600 miles on my bike and seen a bunch of good people. Now I have done damage to fix before the next trip. All I was trying to do was see the battle of Little Bighorn memorial and I got wiped out! Tc

Ah, my first contribution to The Rant of the Day!

    Topic: Customer Service

Well, I was ready to drop some serious coin on a certain custom maker of SR. As a new SR shaver naturally I'm going to have some questions, so I initiated the conversation by asking about availability, scale options, etc.

The person was very dry and his answer was do you want to order or not? I responded and politely say thanks and decline to place an order.

I'm happy for this maker, it appears he doesn't need my business nor my money, good for him. I always try to support American businesses, but when I get an individual like this, I don't mind taking my money overseas.

And that's my contribution to The Rant of the Day!

Good customer service gets you business, bad customer service will get you nothing.

Customer service is highly underrated. If someone is polite and nice, I will go out of my way to be a customer. If not, word of mouth is a surprisingly powerful force in this age of electronic communication.

I was a bit disappointed, but it is what is. All it means that another of our fine artisans is going to get my business :-)

Those schmucks what don't take down garage sale signs when done or the kids that turn them around for funsies.
Both deserve a special place in the nether regions!

We all choose who we would like to do business with but some of the best craftsmen/artists do not have the best customer service skills. If they make a fine product and I want it, I can overlook a little shortness or gruffness. I'm buying something, not looking for someone to hang out with.

So Hector - Don't beat around the bush! Who is this mfg? Please let me know so I can avoid them in my hunt for a great razor. You said a lot but you didn't tell me anything...
